I stayed at comfort suites en route to NY from Michigan. Ended up getting here super late and checked in at 2 am. Traveling with my wife and newborn (4 weeks old), I asked the front desk lady if she would allow a late check out since we checked in super late and I have a long drive tomorrow. The lady at the front desk denied my request rudely and had no remorse for the fact that we were traveling with a baby and may need more time.
I have been to many places that are nicer than this property and they always care of their guests. I hated the fact that I was rushed to get out In the morning and front desk did not want to accommodate my request for a late check out. Front desk staff is terrible at accommodating customer needs. They are the face of your business, having rude staff breaks or makes someone’s experience.
Otherwise, property was nice and clean. I had a king suite and my room was spotless. It was clean, smelled amazing. Bathroom toiletries were minimal and needs improvement. Breakfast buffet was decent. It included two waffles machines, scrambled eggs sausages and other basic coffee/juices/cereal and what nots. Had no complains in that department.
I considered making this property my go to stop en route to NY, since I make that drive often. However, my experience with the front desk staff changed my mind. Last thing I want after a long drive is a rude front desk person ruining my experience.
