One week before my 16 April reservation I canceled and received a confirmation including a cancelation number. On 17 April my credit card was charged for the full amount of the reservation which was canceled. I called the front desk for three days which all went unanswered. Corporate Wyndham then told me to call the front desk. Corporate Howard Johnson corporate transferred me to the front desk which was answered by a rude clerk. She would not resolve the situation and after she gave me an email contact to an accountant she hung up on me. I emailed the accountant and have not heard back from anyone in a month. My VISA card never removed the charge. My next step is to contest the charge and then never stay at a Howard Johnson hotel ever again.

When our company confirmed a price quote over the phone, arrived Friday, April 12, 2024, only to be treated very rudley by the desk clerk. She was told about our special rate but Charged our credit card for $115 per room for 4 rooms. When she was address about the charge she wrote down a email and slapped it on the desk saying " If you want a refund, contact them on this email!' What over $500 now tied up on our credit card, and no telling how long they will take to respond or get our refund!! We do not recommend staying at this hotel!! Unless they address the clerk and fix the refund policy!!! Bad experience for the first time there. And NO we didn't stay there either!!

Need things fixed around there the staff need to be a little bit more friendlier and polite because they are getting paid for it and if things is not in service no more they should not advertise it and that's breakfast I'm talking about

We booked a room here for one night. When we arrived to check in, we were told that our reservation had been canceled, but we didn’t cancel it. The lady at the front desk told us this happened to multiple guests that same day. They did not have another room for us so we had to find another hotel. The manager was called and all we got were made up excuses. The worst part is that charged us for the room they wouldn’t let us stay in and rented to someone else. The lady at the front desk basically admitted that the management was terrible and if we wanted a chance at getting our money back, our best bet would be to make a fraud claim with our bank. HOJO will never get any more business from us. Apparently these types of things happen often here and nothing is down about it.

Room was filthy and had bottle caps and m&ms in the bed! Hair in the sink and tub. Carpet was filthy. Cat food in the hall way. The elevator smelled like piss! Disgusting hotel!

The staff was great. The rooms were clean. Nothing to fuss about the stay. The major gripe was that they absolutely do not accept cash. Cards only. Also, there is an additional 50-100 deposit that MUST be paid at check-in. This is separate from your booking fees. Does not matter who you are. Also, getting the deposit is hit/miss

The rooms was really clean and smell good the staff was friendly and welcome you with open arms I’m definitely going back and spend a night they did a real 360 from last time I went there I love they new staff and the way they handle they business see yall soon
