Design of the room and the lobby was excellent, however that was the only excellent thing about the stay.
1) General mismanagement was apparent on the day of check in.
The lobby was chaos with guests randomly waiting around. We had to wait an hour between initiating check in, to us getting our room keys. The front desk did give 1-for-1 drink (note: non alcoholic) vouchers, however there was some confusion as to where it was redeemable.
We finally got our room keycard. Went up and made ourselves comfortable. Then the chambermaid came knocking asking if we wanted the room made.
Clearly some miscommunication there...
As previously mentioned, decor and design of room was really nice. However, some sacrifices were made to accommodate the design. For example, the nightshade tables were around 4 ft from the sides of the bed. Ended up we had to place our phones on the bed, with extra long cables to keep them charged. Also our drinking water we had to place them on the floor.
It was either that or getting up and walking 4 ft in the dark. The light switches were all 4 ft away too btw.
The balcony was nice and so is the sea view.
On another interesting note, our room had 2 bottles of shower gel and no shampoo. Initially we thought it was one of those shower gel shampoo combos, however we randomly asked front desk on night #2 and realised it wasn't.
