Rock House

We had a brilliant time - the staff were incredible, extremely helpful and welcoming! Thanks to Franncesca, Peterson, Robert, Monica, Gerald, Berlandie, Frank, Orlando and everyone who helped with all our questions, provided recommendations, carted us around and managed to help us find last minute bookings. The pool and restaurant team were always smiling and made the overall experience that much more wonderful! The lobster pizza and Drunken Lobsters - exceptional! The resort is beautiful - the walkways and views are stunning, the pool area is pristine. The only real downsides is that it is very remote (which is also an upside!), so you do need a car / rely on taxis as you cannot walk anywhere, so this can also get very expensive. Plus there is construction but for the most part that didn't disrupt us.

My husband and I stayed at Rock House over the Christmas Holiday. It is was a beautiful property and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was a one bedroom oceanfront suite. It was spacious and the pool was very enjoyable. Unfortunately, they seem to be having an issue with the septic system as you could smell it around the resort and it would get so bad in the room (especially at night) we closed all the drains and kept the bathroom door shut with the fan running most of our trip. I did my makeup in the bedroom mirror to avoid spending any extra time in there. We mentioned the issue to the front desk but once heard other guests talking about it we realized it must just be a widespread issue. They are working on building out the second half of the property so there was significant construction noise. We were thankful our room was on the other side of the resort from the main construction area but felt they should be notifying guests ahead of time about the construction. The food was fresh and tasty but dining options were limited, pricy, and hours seemed to change every day. There is also a 10% service fee and 12% tourist tax on every bill (plus additional tipping was very expected) so meals added up. Overall, we had a nice trip but disappointed by the hotel considering the cost, all its recent press, and Leading Hotels of the World membership. Save your money and stay elsewhere but stop by for a cocktail at the Cave Bar to take in the view!

Me and my wife just went last week to this place. It’s really awesome. We took the room with ocean facing. Breakfast is included the staff was very friendly and nice. Ambience and views are the best. Shree the manager was very nice and friendly. It’s an awesome location and must stay atleast one night.

Great resort with excellent views. We stayed for 6 nights. However, the service is poor, asked for a pair of slipper and took them at least 3 hours to give it to me. Really terrible service at the restaurant: booked reservation at 7PM, arrived at 6:55PM and was told need to wait for couple mins for the table to be ready. Waited at the bar for 30 more mins with no one served us. They won’t give us the table until we asked to cancel the reservation

This is a smaller resort so it it very quiet and removed from the rest of Grace Bay. The pool was beautiful, so peaceful. The beach is small but adequate. They don't play loud music all day, just nice relaxing subdued background. The food was excellent! The staff were so pleasant and helpful. The property is pretty new so everything is in great shape. The room was spacious and well appointed. Would love to go back!

The Rock house is a nice quite place to stay for couples looking for a romantic vacation with relaxation and a wonderful view and great service. The location is very close to the airport but it’s quite a distance from the tourist areas, so you will have to drive or take a taxi for excursions and traditional island scenery and activities. If you are looking for fun, excitement and easy access to different excursions, then I’d recommend the Grace Bay Area. But for a quiet, relaxing place with style and a great atmosphere, The Rock House is a nice choice. It really depends on what you want your vacation to be.

Overall my stay and experience at Rock House was phenomenal. I just wish they had better directions to the suites and other places on the property.

As per other reviews here - summary is simple, nice location/facilities, abysmal service and hospitality. It honestly feels like most people working there do not want to be there. For 1k a night… Not a great stay. Booked for our honeymoon, which I’d advise against… I’d highly recommend an airbnb on the Island, far better options out there for less. We stayed here primarily because we wanted a concierge to help us plan out the best activities on the island, and make bookings / transfers. Which was a disaster. Pros: Beautiful location, view and nice rooms/facilities. Cons Service - Apart from a few standouts, the majority of staff do not look like they want to be there. The service was begrudging, as if we were being done a favor. Simple requests were forgotten and nothing shows up. We got sick of following up and bought groceries / drinks at the local supermarket for the rest of our stay. We received far better service at the beach shacks we ate at - given that this place is super expensive… just ouch. Excursions/concierge - this is where things truly fell apart. No confirmations, poor communication, had to followup multiple times. Long story short, we ended up missing our main excursion and were driven around for a couple of hours from hotel to hotel. Left us frustrated and wishing we had simply booked an airbnb. We ended up booking the remaining activities ourselves, and things ran smoothly from that point on. Construction - they choose to omit this completely...

The property was beautiful. Young lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating helped set up excursions. Daphnee in the restaurant for breakfast was really nice we came back multiple times because of her aura and welcoming smile. My only complaint was I called the desk multiple times for a setup for flowers or a banner for our anniversary we never received anything also we could never get any ice nor would they tell us where it was located the guy in the office after midnight got us some the night before we left. Housekeeping never came in the morning when we called but would always come at 630 while we’re occupying the room other than that the property was beautiful and relaxing I would recommend.
