Service was great, food was great, room was roomy but poorly dusted, corners could have been vacuumed better but otherwise cleaning was fine. From a handicapped view, there were 4 parking spots, none which allowed for a ramp. Otherwise, stay was very nice.

The hotel itself is lovely. Old rustic cowboy themed, dark wood, and great vibes. Unfortunately the bartender was out sick so I didn’t get to enjoy that.
The room was nice, great shower, with refillable installed shampoo/conditioner/body wash. I love seeing that.
The one problem:
There was no top security lock on the door. As a female traveling alone that little piece of metal does offer a lot of added security. It seemed like a safe place, but that is always a worry. It’s a simple fix that could really help piece of mind.

The room had visible dust on everything. The entire hotel smells like smoke. The pool/hot tub area had a group of children that literally ran out everyone else from them trying to fight & using fowl language. We tried to let our children swim again the next morning & the same group of children were there, jumping into hot tub repeatedly when no one under 14 is permitted. No pool towels both days we were there.

We got upgraded suite due to reservation of choice having broken massage chair. The motel needs some TLC in carpet, wall decor and our rooms bathroom door. Breakfast left something to be desired. Not as many choices as we would have liked for hot foods or pastries. We would stay again but think twice due to many nearby hotel choices.

The room, pool area, bar area, lobby--all beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast was really good. The food was hot and fresh. The juice machine wasn't working but I assume that was a fluke rather than the norm. I highly recommend the Stoney Creek Hotel and we would definitely stay there again.

I liked the hotel. However, they have the pool open till 11pm. The whole line of rooms in all 3 floors facing the pool was very loud. Kids were screaming and talking very loud. On Sunday morning right after that, at 6:15 am, the kids were back at it and woke us up. I thought, they can't be in the pool that early. But after looking out the window, I confirmed it. After we got up with not anymore sleep, I asked a employee what time the pool opened. They said 6am. I said how in the world would they allow the outdoor part of the pool be open that early when people are still sleeping. They said the management did that. They're Choice. We'll I say as a customer is my choice not to return. We were at a show all day on Saturday and wanted a good night sleep. With that and all the kids banging and making loud noises up an down the hall in front of our room, I think next time I'll go somewhere else since they didn't care what I said.

My husband and I decided to "run away" from home for a night and we once again went to St. Joseph and Stoney Creek. We love it there - makes it feel so homey - nice rooms, quiet, comfortable. We enjoyed this little getaway after the weekends of football and Super Bowl - we were free to roam. We love eating and shopping in St. Joe.
